What Sources Does Wyoming Use for News? [POLL]
Social networks such as, Twitter and Facebook are becoming the new source for news. Trends are showing that smartphones are the most prevalent video device owned by Americans, giving us immediate access to breaking news. We have seen this clearly in the last couple of weeks amid the violence seen in several U.S. cities and abroad. Now that both the Democratic and Republican conventions are starting, the networks will be bustling with stories.
The Pew Research Center found that 72% of American adults receive their news on a mobile device, which is up from 54% just three years ago in 2013. More than half of Americans, 57%, watch news on TV, with younger adults more likely to skip TV news altogether. Only 27% of those ages 18-29 watch TV news. Lastly, only 20% of Americans still get their news from news papers.
