UPDATE:

As of 3:25 p.m., Thomas Rosback had made his way to Boulder Lake. The Sublette County Sheriff's Office says he is in good condition.

=================================================================

A search was underway Monday afternoon after a Colorado man went missing while hiking in the Bridger Teton National Forest on Sunday.

Thomas Rosback, of Salida, Colorado, is described as a 63-year-old white male standing 5'10" and weighing 175 pounds. He was last seen wearing a blue t-shirt and beige shorts.

According to the Sublette County Sheriff's Office, their dispatch center received a report of a missing hiker from a party near Coyote Lake at roughly 8 a.m. Monday.

The person who called said their hiking group was originally comprised of four people, including Rosback, and they were planning on a hiking trip to North Fork Lake.

On Sunday, the group left the Boulder Lake Trailhead and made base camp in between Cross and Coyote Lakes around 3:30 p.m.

Rosback then reportedly decided to make a 10-minute hike up to Coyote Lake, but he never returned to camp. The other three hikers spent the rest of the evening scouring the area in an effort to find him.

Rosback is described as being in excellent shape and an experienced hiker. However, he has never been in the area before.

The sheriff's office started a grid search of the area where Rosback was last seen. A helicopter flew over the area.

Sheriff's deputies covered the Boulder Trail on foot, passing information on to passersby. Bald Mountain Outfitters covered the Burnt Lake Trail to Horseshoe Lake doing the same thing.

No further details were available Monday evening.
