In probably one of the more intelligent Christmas Shopping/Black Friday ploys, Microsoft has announced that the Xbox One console will now be backwards compatible.

For all the non-gamers out there, "backwards compatible" is the ability to play the prior console's game on the newer unit. So in layman's terms, you'll finally be able to play those older XBox 360 games on the One.

There are a few other pretty cools feature being released as well, that will work in conjunction with Windows 10.

We see what you're doing Microsoft... and it this point, we're not sure if we want to shake your hand or shoot you. For now, we'll just wait and see what other gems pop up before Christmas that will keep me wanting you over Sony's PS4.
