Casper Police Department Warn Residents of New Phone Scam

The Casper Police Department want to make sure all local residents are aware of a new scam which uses their phone number.

The Casper Police Department's official Facebook page posted the following photo, along with a very detailed message that read:

The Casper Police Department has received reports of scam phone calls coming from a Casper Police Department phone number.

The Casper Police Department will never contact you by phone asking for personally identifiable or financial information.

If you receive a phone call from a number associated with CPD, or the person on the line claims to be part of the department, you can verify the legitimacy of this phone call by calling dispatch at (307) 235-8278 or speaking with any Casper Police Officer.
