Tonight (May 23), One Direction is set to play their first of three shows at Croke Park, a famed stadium in Dublin, Ireland -- and a venue that holds a special meaning for Niall Horan, as he auditioned for 'The X Factor' at the same place four short years ago.

Directioners couldn't be more proud of or excited for the blonde Irish cutie, getting #YOUDIDITNIALL to become a trending topic on Twitter and reminiscing about how far all of the guys have come since their first 'X Factor' auditions in 2010. Of course, the nostalgia bug has bit us too, so in honor of the band's first show tonight at Croke Park, we thought we'd throw it back to Niall's 'X Factor' audition.

"I want to sell out arenas and make an album and work with some of the best artists in the world," a 16-year-old Niall said at the time. (Grab those tissues, Directioners!)

After singing Ne-Yo's 'So Sick,' the judges seemed to be extra harsh that day ("I think you're unprepared, I think you came with the wrong song, you're not as good as you thought you were, but I still like you," Simon Cowell told him), Niall's voice and charm eventually won the judges over and moved him on to the next round. And the rest, as they say, is history.
