For this week's Throwback Thursday video, we take things north to our Canadian compadres, namely Snow.

Coming straight from some pretty rough neighborhoods in T-Dot (Toronto), a young Darren Kenneth O'Brien found and outlet in music. In his early performance stages, he mixed reggae with rock as well as Hip-Hop. Growing up in a housing project which housed a very diverse ethnic culture and a heavy Jamaican-West Indian population, it's no wonder he found a love of dancehall music. After a chance meeting with Queens, New York Hip-Hop legend MC Shan, the rest as they say was history. Snow was born.

Although most folks don't actually know the lyrics, everyone knows the song 'Informer'. I remember buying Snow's full length album, '12 Inches of Snow' on cassette so many years ago. And it's still a classic!
