Casper Ranks Surprisingly Low on List of Best Foodie Cities
Maybe our food offerings are just a little too out there.
Are you a food lover, like me? Do you love finding new places to eat around town? Or maybe you love exploring new food offerings, flavor combinations and food experiences. And if you love watching Food Network then I think we just became best friends.
We're considered "foodies."
Now, I know what you're thinking... a foodie is someone who enjoys fine dining and gourmet food, but that's not the case. A love of food is the only prerequisite to be in this club. And in our club, we not only love to eat, we also savor the experience of eating.
That being said, it's strange that we are not higher on this list of "Best Foodie Cities."
WalletHub compiled a list of the best cities for foodies. They looked at cost of groceries, affordability, accessibility, and food festivals. From this they made a list of the best places for us food lovers.
Casper landed at number 108 on this list. I find myself frustrated by this. If you want an adventurous dish, what could be more adventurous than catching or hunting your own meal? That also makes our food extremely fresh, right?
I guess people are too scared of a good bison burger.
