The Casper Police Department has released their locations for high visibility traffic enforcement for the week of February 5th, 2018. Officer Douglas will be conducting the extra patrol in the following areas:

  • School Zones around Centennial Middle School
  • School Zones around Paradise Valley Elementary School

A high volume of traffic complaints prompted the weekly extra enforcement efforts, and the Casper Police Department posts the locations on their Facebook Page every week.

Last week's enforcement showed a decline in traffic stops. Officials say Officer Darren Douglas made 29 traffic stops and issued 42 tickets in the school zones located around Frontier Middle School and Cottonwood Elementary, compared to 38 traffic stops and issued 53 tickets the previous week.

From the Casper Police Department:

"CPD is encouraging everyone in our community to be conscientious while driving through school zones. By advertising these school zones each week CPD is hopeful that individual’s habits and driving patterns will be altered while driving around our community. CPD would like to thank the drivers who obey each and every school zone in our community!"

We will post the enforcement locations each week, along with the results of those efforts.
