The Wyoming Food For Thought Project, true to it's community focus, is holding their annual celebration "Localicious" on April 26th.  "We have quite a few local chefs and foodies who are coming and they're going to make all kinds of awesome tastes of locally produced foods here in Casper," says Executive Director Jamie Purcell, who says the evening will also feature a silent auction, beverages, live music, and a lot of interaction.

"Instead of sitting at a table and having your food served to you," she says, "you're going to be able to go around the room and talk to the chefs at each able to ask them how did they prepare it, why do they use local food, or whatever you want to ask, so it's ___really going to be a fun interactive way to do this."

"Localicious" is a fundraiser for Wyoming Food For Thought Project to help sustain their programs which include, including the weekend food bag program, community dinners, Kids Summer Feeding Program and more, according to their website. Purcell says the weekend food bag program provides some 700 bags with breakfast, lunch and dinner for kids for Saturdays and Sundays.

"Our goal with that is a couple of things, one is to make sure on Monday morning when they get back to school their bellies are full and they're ready to learn, rather than ready to ean," she says. "The other part of that is really reaching out, using these bags as vessels to let these kids who live in situations that sometime none of us even want to thing about...but using these bags to reach into their lives and let hem know that people they've never met and will never meet care about them."
