The owners of Rock the Block want the event to continue every Casper summer but, they say, they need sponsorships from the community in order to make it happen.
Rock the Block announced last week that they would hosting their final event on Wednesday, July 20 and if this was, indeed, the end...it went out with a bang.
On Thursday, June 2, various downtown businesses opened their doors up to the public for a night of art, music, food, drink and, most importantly, community.
Dynamic Sound and Lighting, the company that provided all of the sound and stage equipment for Rock the Block, took the venture over from Huff in order to ensure that it remains a vital part of the downtown scene.
David Street Station announced on Wednesday that it will begin implementing enhanced security measures, and will also begin to limit entrances into the station on Thursdays which has, in many cases, been the busiest and most chaotic day of the week.
