Do you remember the show with comedians who were played by puppets where they made crank calls? That was Crank Yankers on Comedy Central and it was comedy gold.
For this week’s Throwback Thursday video, I grabbed an icon that’s still at the top of his game, possibly even more relevant now then when he first jumped onto the Hip-Hop scene. The one and only Lil Wayne has been making music for the better part of two decades (Weezy is 31), having recorded his first album at age 11 with fellow Hot Boys member B.G.
For this week's Throwback Thursday video I had to reach deep in the vault. As the Wu-Tang Clan is my all time favorite group, I decided to spotlight one of their most prolific members: Method Man.
This week's Throwback Thursday video is a personal favorite. Waaaaaay back when Shaquille O'Neal was an NBA rookie, the Fu-Schnickens were his favorite Hip-Hop group. So why not put him on a song? And "What's Up Doc? (Can We Rock)" was born.
For this week's Throwback Thursday video, we take it back to 2003 with Smilez & Southstar. The Orlando based duo has been M.I.A. in the mainstream since about 2005, but their hit single, Tell Me, did hit the Billboard charts in 3 separate categories.
For today's Throwback Thursday jam, we take it back just over 20 years!!! 1993 was when the hit single by Zhane', Hey Mr DJ burst onto the scene. An instant club and party banger, the song reached #6 on the Billboard Top 100.
Today's Throwback Thursday video is the one and only T.I. (or "Tip" as he would have been called if there wasn't already a rapper with the name Q-Tip).
My mom is awesome, don't get me wrong...but recently she's been getting on my nerves like crazy. I'm one of the kind of people that just don't like it when people tag me in their Facebook photos...
Today's Throwback Thursday video is Black Sheep's 'The Choice Is Yours'. The hit single came out in 1991 and was released on the duo's 'A Wolf In Sheep's Clothing' album. Only one way to describe the song... a classic! Even to this day, if you play this song in the club on the anywhere on the east coast (especially New York City), the crowd still goes nuts. All it takes is the now famous, "engine, engine, number 9" lyric.
