The Wyoming Cowboys have been tabbed to finish fourth in the Mountain Division during the upcoming 2013 season. The Mountain West Conference is holding its annual Media Days in Las Vegas through tomorrow. In addition to the preseason football poll, the MWC also unveiled its preseason all-conference team.

Wyoming received 116 total points in the balloting among media members who cover the conference. Not one Cowboy was among the 25 chosen for the preseason All-MW team.

Boise State and Fresno State were picked to win the Mountain and West Divisions, respectively.

The Cowboys followed Boise State, Utah State and Air Force, but were ahead of Colorado State and New Mexico.

After the Bulldogs in the West, it went San Diego State, San Jose State, Nevada, UNLV and Hawai'i.

Fresno State also had the Preseason Offensive and Defensive Players of the Year in Senior Quarterback Derek Carr and Junior Defensive Back Derron Smith. New Mexico Junior Kick Returner Chase Clayton was tabbed as the Preseason Special Teams Player of the Year.

Thirteen student-athletes that were All-MW selections in 2012, including seven first-team honorees were on the 2013 preseason all-conference team. Fresno State had seven selections on the preseason All-MW team, while San Jose State followed with five members on the team. Boise State, San Diego State and New Mexico each had three players chosen.
