Casper Police continue to investigate a case of a child abduction Monday evening, even though the child was found safe and a suspect is in custody, according to the department's Facebook page on Tuesday.

Police received a call about 6 p.m. of a 5-year-old boy missing from the El Marko Lanes, 2800 CY Ave. The child was located by a concerned citizen about 8 p.m. on the west side of the Natrona County Fairgrounds.

The citizen took the boy to the Mills Police Department, which immediately contacted the Casper Police Department. The boy had no visible injuries and has been reunited with his family.

Police determined the child had been abducted, and located a suspect who was a food worker for a contractor at the Fairgrounds. The 33-year-old man is in custody. His name had not been released as of early Tuesday afternoon.

While there is no threat to the community, police continue to investigate the incident.

They are asking people who were walking on the path between the Wyoming Game and Fish Office, 3030 Energy Lane, and the Three Crowns Golf Course, between 5 p.m. and 9 p.m. Monday to call the Casper Police Department at 235-8278 and provide their name and number.
