One of the area’s greatest retailers, Party America, announced yesterday, it will close its store located at 4336 E 2ndSt, Casper. The Store Closing Sale, will begin Monday, June 3rdat 9am.
“After 25 years in Casper, we have made the strategic decision to close this store by the end of the month.” said Lisa Gouveia, Owner, Party America. “We will host a great sale, beginning with 25% off everyday items (excluding balloons) and 50% off seasonal products. I would encourage everyone to shop early to enjoy the best selections and great savings on everything you need for a fantastic party. Fixtures are also available for sale.”
Closing this store was a difficult decision for the Gouveias. “It is the end of an extraordinary era for Greg and I, one we have enjoyed very much,” states Lisa. “It’s been such an honor and pleasure to be a part of the celebrations of our customers over the many years of our careers in the party business.”
“We would like to thank our loyal customers who have shopped with Party America over the years as well as our devoted store associates for their dedication and outstanding customer service to this community”, states Lisa. “We will continue serving our customers with two locations in Billings, Montana.”

The store originally opened in 1994 when owners Greg and Lisa Gouveia joined a franchise called Paper Warehouse. They did business as both Paper Warehouse and Party Universe. According to the About Us section of their website, in 2003, the Paper Warehouse franchise was bought by Party America and the Gouveia's subsequently changed their name to match. Since 2009, including their two Billings, Montana locations (that will remain open), they are now an independent party store.
