"The Science Zone exists to inspire the mind, to delight the senses and to ignite a passion for the technical arts and sciences."--The Science Zone

Science can be fun, and The Science Zone wants to give you a taste of that during their eleventh annual spring fundraiser coming up March 9th at the Hangar in Bar Nunn.

"Elemental Evening" will feature dinner, cocktails, a number of live and silent auctions, raffles, and a more.  "Of course, we try to bring a bit of the science of the Science Zone to the event," said Executive Director Steven Schnell, "so this year we're actually planning on having a small Science Show, for entertainment during dinner dinner, so it should be fun."

The money raised during the evening will help support the many Science Zone programs, classes, and exhibits. Some 30,000 visitors came through the doors last year, and Schnell says they hope to surpass that number this year.

"We try to make science interesting, and exciting, and accessible to everyone. So we try to make sure that people get that opportunity to play and really get dirty with science and make that interactive," he said.

Here's more from The Science Zone:

"For the last two decades, The Science Zone has provided the community of Casper and other outlying areas the opportunity to explore the sciences. As our patrons explore our facility and programs, their own curiosities propel them through our exhibits  and displays. Our after school, summer school, special events, and outreach programs have created an awareness of our organization across the state, bringing people to Casper specifically for our museum."
