Wind, snow, and sometimes earthquakes are the major headline grabbers for Wyoming weather related news. This tornado didn't make the news. It appears to be a smaller one and in an area with more wildlife than people. Still, it is not every day that you hear about a tornado in Wyoming. It is not unheard of, but they are more likely in the plains. In the foothills near the mountains? At they rate the area as having a low possibility of tornadoes. Thanks to Amber McCreath for taking a few pictures while in Daniel, we know of this one.

It was around noon on Sunday September 4th. Amber was just outside of Daniel, Wyoming when she first spotted the tornado. She said, "We watched it go up and down for about 20 minutes. It touched down several times and then would go back up."

Daniel is a rural town in the Green River Valley just West of Pinedale. According to 2010 census data, they have a population of 150 residents.
