I'm embarrassed to say that I was surprised when I saw this. Wyoming has just been ranked among the top 10 states in the country for having high quality schools.

I need to clarify. I'm not surprised that Wyoming is being called out for having great schools. I'm shocked that a guy like me found this. Full disclosure: I'm not the best example of having a high quality education. SHOCKER.

I spotted this new ranking on WalletHub. It's high praise for Wyoming as we're ranked at #10 overall for schools and #8 for school quality. They even shared a fancy map to praise us.

I'm a bit perplexed (not a new thing) that Wyoming was dinged for school safety as we're way down at #29 according to their metrics. I recognize this is a complex issue, so I'll leave it to the experts as to why this is.

As we get closer to back-to-school time, it's a nice pat on the back for Wyoming schools that we're highly ranked in the country. That's better than the alternative.
