Wyoming Well Represented on ‘Most Popular National Parks’ List
If you're going to talk about the best National Parks in America, you can't ignore Wyoming.
When I saw this list for "America's 25 Most Popular National Parks", I couldn't help but start singing "America the Beautiful." Of course, I sang this in my head so people didn't think there was a dying cat in the room. America truly is beautiful, and we're so fortunate to live in a state with such beautiful scenery. Not to mention, the gorgeous National Parks that we have to enjoy.
And these parks are actually pretty popular.
I read "popular" as most beautiful. I mean, no one would go to an ugly park... right? Maybe that arrogance stems from the fact that Wyoming landed on this list, compiled by the travel site Thrillist, twice! It doesn't appear that this list is in a ranked order, by any means, but both Grand Teton and Yellowstone found their place among the greats.
So just how many people are visiting these parks?
According to Thrillist, Grand Teton sees 3.2 million visitors every single year. They didn't have a visitor stat for Yellowstone, but they did rave about the buffalo, bears and Old Faithful. Did you know this geyser was "discovered in 1870 and erupts every 35-120 minutes"? Beat that, other National Parks.
