Casper PD To Hold Places of Worship Active Shooter/Critical Incident Training
The Casper Police Department will be offering an active shooter and critical incident training for places of worship on Tuesday, February 13th, 2018.
The two-hour training is organized for those who work or volunteer in worship centers. The goal is to help places of worship enact security plans designed to minimize harm done in the event of an active shooter. The training is being taught by Sergeant Dabney.
Sergeant Dabney has taught numerous active shooter training sessions to Casper area businesses. The Casper Police Department wants to ensure church personnel and its members are prepared for a critical incident and how to react during a worship service.
Topics discussed in the training materials include:
- Conducting A Security Risk Assessment
- Suspicious Persons
- Actions During A Critical Incident
- What To Do Immediately After The Critical Incident
The training will be held at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, on Tuesday February 13th, 2018 from 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm.
