I was fortunate enough to get invited to attend the first ever junior hockey game on the new Wold Ice Arena inside the Casper Events Center.  Let me sum up my experience up in one word - FANTASTIC!

From the moment I drove into the Casper Event Center parking lot, I noticed the long line of fans waiting to purchase tickets.  As I entered the CEC and made my way towards my section, I sneaked a peak through one of the portals to view the ice and the new Wold Ice Arena and a huge smile swept across my face.

You see, I am a huge hockey fan and love watching hockey in big arenas with lots of screaming fans.  The energy of the Coyote fans was electric to start the game and the home team did not disappoint! The Coyotes defeated the Stampede from Cheyenne by a final score of 6-3.

More important than the final score was the great attendance that showed up to enjoy Casper's first in-state rivalry match up and got to watch some excellent hockey being played.

The fans had lots to cheer about as our Casper team played hard and earned a well deserved victory.

As a fan of the game of hockey I hope the city of Casper can attract more hockey events like this one to our newest jewel in our cities enormous charm.  This was a huge win for Casper and all of the hockey fans who live here!

See you all at the next game!!
