SLOW MOVING THUNDERSTORMS WITH VERY HEAVY RAINFALL ACROSS THE
WARNED AREA. RAINFALL OF THREE QUARTERS OF AN INCH IN A BRIEF
PERIOD OF TIME.
* RUNOFF FROM THIS EXCESSIVE RAINFALL WILL CAUSE FLASH FLOODING TO
OCCUR. SOME LOCATIONS THAT WILL EXPERIENCE FLOODING INCLUDE...

HOGADON SKI AREA...HOMA HILLS...I25 EXIT 182...I25 EXIT 191...I25
EXIT 197...JCT I25 AND HWY 20...NATRONA COUNTY AIRPORT...PARADISE
VALLEY AND RED BUTTES VILLAGE.
THIS INCLUDES INTERSTATE 25 IN WYOMING BETWEEN MILE MARKERS 176 AND
EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM HEAVY RAINFALL WILL CAUSE FLOODING OF SMALL
CREEKS AND STREAMS...URBAN AREAS...HIGHWAYS...STREETS AND UNDERPASSES
AS WELL AS OTHER DRAINAGE AREAS AND LOW LYING SPOTS.
DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE
ROADWAY. THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO CROSS
K2 Radio News spoke with Emergency Management Coordinator Stewart Anderson and he says there are no reports of flooding yet. Sirens were triggered with the flash flood warning because it looked like the system was going to stall over the area, so, he says the next hour should tell us if any areas are dealing with rising water.
