The sooner it starts, the sooner it's over and I can't stand that feeling.

Let me preface this entire thing by saying that I. Love. Christmas. In fact, I dipped my toes into some Christmas music this morning. I love the sights, sounds, smells and tastes of Christmas. I love the holly and the jolly. But I tend to struggle with the beginning of this wonderful holiday season. Despite what this video below shows...

See I have to throw myself into this holiday season otherwise I will continue to push it farther and farther away.

It takes me a minute to jump in fully because deep down I feel like the sooner Christmas gets started, the sooner Christmas will be over. I hate that feeling you get the day after Christmas when all of the holiday feelings are leaving your body. You feel empty, like a balloon that is slowly losing its air. Even as a kid I would get super anxious when a family day at Disneyland would start or my favorite movie would begin playing because I dreaded the end.

Why do the good times have to end?

I guess I just never want to quit Christmas. As complicated as it sounds, it because of this reason that I don't like for it to start too early. I never want the magic to fizzle.
