UPDATE: Winter Weather Advisory For Natrona County: Snow & Blowing Snow
UPDATE: A Winter weather advisory in effect from midnight tonight to 9:00 AM MST Thursday.
The National Weather Service in Riverton has issued a winter weather advisory for snow and blowing snow, which is in effect from midnight tonight to 9:00 AM MST Thursday.
Periods of snow will around midnight and continue until into Thursday morning before tapering off by 9:00.
2 to 5 inches of snow is expected in the Casper area...With the highest amounts on the south side of Casper along and south of Wyoming boulevard. Casper Mountain is expected to receive 5 to 9 inches of new snowfall.
North wind at 15 to 25 mph. Visibility will be reduced to one-half mile or less at times in moderate to heavy snow and blowing snow.
Travel will become difficult Thursday morning with slick snow-covered roads and limited visibility.
PREVIOUS: More snow is on the way later tonight and Thursday morning. A cold front will drop southward and bring another round of snow to the Casper area. Most areas can expect 1 to 2 inches in the lower elevations and 2 to 4 inches on Casper Mountain with locally Higher amounts where showers persist. Travelers are urged to use caution if traveling later tonight or Thursday morning.
