Casper should feel average temperature wise this winter, but we could see more precipitation.

Growing up in the mountains in California, we expected some sort of snow every year. Now, being in Wyoming, I can't wait to see what a winter is like in this beautiful state. Our snow never lasted too long in my hometown, but I've been told that it will be around for quite awhile in the Cowboy state.

According to NOAA's Climate Prediction Center, we can expect average temperatures in Casper over the next three months. Although there are equal chances for above and below normal readings, we will most likely see more of the same from previous years. As for precipitation, we have about a 35 percent probability of being above normal levels.

Of course, we have learned that weather can be completely unpredictable living in Wyoming. A lot can change over the next few months, but for now we can prepare for what the National Weather Service is telling us. The real question is whether we are seeing stronger winds this year compared to the past, am I right?
