The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm warning for Casper as a strong system is expected to produce significant snowfall in parts of Wyoming.

Casper is set to receive five to 10 inches of new accumulation, with 18-24 inches expected on Casper Mountain. The NWS revised lower their predicted snowfall amount for Casper Mountain in their warning issued shortly before 10 a.m. Tuesday.

The warning, which covers all of Natrona County, is set to go in effect at midnight Tuesday and expire at 6 a.m. Thursday.

Travel is expected to be very difficult to impossible as a result of the storm. Patchy, blowing snow is expected to significantly reduce visibility.
